The workshop is meant to help students and researchers to move into the next stages of their careers—to find jobs, postdoctoral positions, and to function effectively and excel in their new (future) roles. Academic training and research experience is essential for making this transition. Also important are a host of communication, leadership and people skills, that will help one navigate the office, work environment, understand what is expected and contribute meaningfully.
This workshop is meant to help students (doctoral, post-graduate and final-year undergraduate) and early stage researchers make the transition from academics to a professional work environment and excel in their new roles.
